CONSTRUCTION ALERT

IRONWOOD-GANTZEL ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS

 

This is a series of construction alerts that will be issued throughout the construction of the Ironwood-Gantzel Roadway Improvement Project.  These alerts will announce construction, detour and closure information as it affects traffic.   

 

 

1. LANE CLOSURES - Crews will be tilling and seeding the roadway slopes and medians on Ironwood between Baseline and Elliot and also on Guadalupe from Monday, March 17 through Friday March 21.  Watch for one-way traffic controlled by flaggers on Guadalupe.

          Crews will also be fog sealing and installing pavement striping on Ironwood south of Guadalupe to US 60 

          on Baseline, Guadalupe, and Delaware from Monday, March 24 through Friday, March 28. 

 

Lane closures will be required between US 60 and Elliot for seeding and fog sealing, but will be scheduled as follows to minimize impacts to morning rush-hour traffic:

 

·        Southbound Ironwood  from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

·        Northbound Ironwood between 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

 

A closure on Baseline east and west of Ironwood will be required between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Monday, March 24 and Tuesday, March 25.  Traffic will be reduced to one-way on Guadalupe and Delaware, and flaggers will be present on Tuesday. 

 

Crews will also be fog sealing small areas on Germann, Ranch, and some paved entrances along Ironwood between Germann and Elliot.
